What’s in Your Pantry? Real Talk with Brittany from Nacho Fitness Coach

March 20, 2024

Episode Recap: Featuring Brittany, Caleigh, and Sarah

Ever opened your pantry and felt personally judged by the cans of beans staring back at you? You're not alone. In this laugh-filled episode of Nacho Fitness Coach, we’re diving into real-life pantry habits—with special guest Brittany (yes, that Brittany from Season 2, Episode 21)—to talk expired canned goods, protein cupboards, and the cereal-free childhood of poor Ty.

🥫 What’s Actually In There?

Here’s what Caleigh’s pantry (and other storage zones) revealed:

  • Canned Goods Galore: Mostly beans. Like, a lot of beans. Leftover from chili nights and Blue Zones inspiration.
  • Water Bottles: Three cases of 8 oz bottles from the 4th of July... that tasted weird and now just sit there.
  • Baking Shelf: Full-on dedicated shelf for flour, sugar, cake decorating tools—because baking deserves a throne.
  • Small Appliances: Crockpot, blender, and more hiding in the "pantry that’s not really a pantry."
  • Protein Cupboard: Creatine, protein powders, and vitamins—all neatly organized like a shrine to wellness.
  • Snack Cabinet: Chips, pretzels, and Halloween candy stashed above the microwave for “later” (aka next year).
  • Cereal Situation: Not much—unless you count plain shredded wheat and Dane’s rare Cheerio runs.
  • Produce on the Counter: Apples, pears, bananas, onions, avocados—where you can see them, so you remember to eat them.

🥗 Brittany's Pantry Game Is Strong

As the group’s veggie guru, Brittany dropped her pantry staples too:

  • Grains: Rice, quinoa, rice noodles for those quick ramen-inspired meals.
  • Seeds & Nuts: Hemp seeds (her #1!), chia, sunflower seeds, almonds—especially important as a plant-based eater.
  • Beans: Yep, even Brittany’s got the pantry bean stash.
  • Veggies: Mostly in the fridge—but onions, potatoes, and garlic live out on the counter.

🍦 Special Mention: The Ninja Creami

Oh yes, it came up. That new appliance still in the box? It’s the Ninja Creami—part ice cream maker, part smoothie boss, totally underused. Stay tuned for the review... maybe next Christmas.

🎯 Key Takeaways & Pantry Tips:

  • Visibility matters: Keep produce on the counter so you don’t forget it exists.
  • Label & rotate: Check those canned goods occasionally so your chili dreams don’t expire.
  • Make your pantry work for your lifestyle: Whether you're a baker, a bodybuilder, or a cereal minimalist.
  • Don’t be afraid of a “protein cupboard.” Own it.
